In a recent study, the Institute of Medicine found substantial evidence to link the presence of mold to upper respiratory infections, coughing, and breathing problems. There are also many studies that have tied mold exposure to the development of asthma in young children. Some people are extremely sensitive to mold and can develop severe reactions when exposed; Including fever and shortness of breath. Instead, you may find clues that let you know of the possible existence of mold in your home. Often, you can smell mold before you see it. Also, if you had any water issues in your house, those areas are prone to mold growth.
